I took 2 tests and I went to cram school.
Ihad to study for tests and cram school last evening.
So I did not sleep well.

Last Class

It was a last class of this semester. Many test will begin tomorrow.
Time passed so fast in my second grade.

But long spring vacation will start after tests. I am looking forward to spring vacation.

I must study hard this evening.

It is my birthday today and ceremony for new coming up adults.

Roberts who are comedian came the ceremony.

I met many friends. They remainded me of good old memoryies.

I was glad to see many friends.
After that, I visit relatives with my mother. I had my kimono taken picture by photographer.

I went to cram school for TOEFLE test.

After that, I went back school. I studied with my friend. I had to think answer for tomorrow's interview. But we were dull. Then we went to eat dinner for joyful. I ate motu-nabe.

We talk a lot there. We like talking.

Yatsushiro

I introduce my hometown Yatsushiro. Yatsushiro has very beautiful nature and rich culture. Population of Yatsushiro is 137,221. Male is 64.287. Female is 72,934. Yatsushiro is big town.Recrntry Yatsushiro is marged other town.

Many events are held in Yatsushiro every year. I will introduce three famous events in Yatsushiro. First Fire works Festival. This is held in October. Yatsushiro Fireworks festival is 3 fireworks competition in Japan. Many fireworks experts gather from all of the country. About 200,000 people spectators come and see to Yatsushiro. 30 makers come from across the country. Second Kumagawa Festival is held in August. People dance with Kumagawa-ondo. Kumagawa-ondo is local music. I like this song. There are two kinds of music. Also many events are held that day. For example, these are Dance contest, Harmony Festa, Sacred portable shrine, Photo contest and Talk show of Aki Yashiro. Aki Yashiro is a singer from Yatsushiro. Third Myouken Festival is one of three biggest festival in Kyushu. Game is a symbol of this festival. This festival is held at Myouken shrine. Front street of Myouken shrine lines many booths. Also Lion show is held and they play drum.

There are many specialties in Yatsushiro.One of most famous specialty in Yatsushiro is Igusa. It is rush. It is used to make tatami. Many rush products is made in Yatsushiro. I like igusa smell. Banpeiyu is also famous fruits in Yatsushiro. Banpeiyu is like orange but banpeiyu is much bigger than orange. The taste is a little sour. Hinagu chikuwa is famous. Hinagu chikuwa is sold in Hinagu town, yatsushiro station, and service area of freeway near Yatsushiro. Shio tomato is very delicious. Cultivation of tomato is prosperous in Yatsushiro. Ayu, that is sweet fish, is famous. We can fish Kuma River and Mae River. Karashi-Renkon is lotus root put in mustard. It is fiery. Karashi-Renkon matches alcoholic drinks. Sometimes Karashi-Renkon is sold at Yatsushiro station.

There are many facilities in Yatsushiro. Yatsushiro Harmony Hall was built in 6 years ago. It is very clean and beautiful. It is used for concert, flea market, exhibition and show etc. Yatsushiro Gym is used to game. It has training room, dance studio and Japanese-style room. We can play many sports. Japanese style room is used for class of tea ceremony and flower arrangement etc. Yatsushiro library is very comfortable because it is quiet place. I am easy to study. There are many books. I often go to study there. Sometimes It is held a show or a picture-story show etc. Yatsushiro museum has many things which are concerned with history of Yatsushiro. For example, these are Yatsushiro ware, products of coin in Edo era, old documents, old farming implement and old Japan paper etc.

There were 3 famous place in the Yatsushiro. The most famous place is Yatsushiro castle. It is not so big but it is very beautiful. Many people visit there in spring because many cherry blossoms are come out. Matsui shrine come out Japanese apricot in early spring. Syouhinken is important culturl property.

University

University

I will introduce my university. My university has many facilities. There are bakery, library, cafeteria, convenience store, bookstore and hair salon etc. I want to introduce 3 facilities I like. It is bakery, library and cafeteria.

First, I introduce bakery in the university. I often go to bakery because I am relaxed and comfortable in the bakery. And there are many kind of bread and all of breads are very delicious. I let eat so much. Also price is reasonable than other bakery. So I like and recommend the bakery.

Second, I introduce library in the university. A library is located in a center of a campus and library is surrounded by rich green. It is made up of four-stories and two-stories basement. Not to mention reading, we can listen and watch CD and DVD, use computer, examine of seminar and study group. Many students and general people visit the libraly every day. It has a library of about 720,000 volumes. There is calm and quiet surrounding.

Third, I introduce cafeteria in the university. I often go to cafeteria because I eat lunch with club member. Most of the club member gather our spare hours, lunch time and after school. We always talk much time there. The cafeteria's foods is very delicious and cheap. The cafeteria was renewed in September last year. There are a lot of menu. For example, it is curry, hashed rice, udon, soba and katsu curry etc. There are many people there every day. All of the students like cafeteria.

There are a lot of facilities in the university. They all are useful. And most of school buildings are very clean. Recentry, it is built new school building, which is NO.14. It is great! The university is well appointed. So I like Kumamoto Gakuen University.

Specialties of Kumamoto

I research specialty of Kumamoto. I found each specialty has feature and history etc.

Karashi Renkon" is specialty of Kumamoto. A hole of a lotus root is filled with mustard miso and fried. It is one of the local dishes on behalf of Kumamoto. It was devised for Tadanori Hosokawa who is a clan leader as a nourishing food in the Edo era. It was the taste which has never been loaned out of a Hosokawa clan until the Meiji Restoration. Lotus roots is crisp. Mustard miso has sharp taste. “Karashi Renkon” is very delicious.
Basashi is meat of horse. This is the one of special products of Kumamoto prefecture. It can be eaten many kind of way to cook. For example, it is eaten for sashimi which is sliced raw fish, skewer and Sakura Nabe which is a dish cooked in a pot of at the table. Basashi is healthy food because it is light calorie, low-fat and high calcium.
Dago soup is homely country dish. Dumplimg is called "Dago" in Kumamoto. Flour is kneaded with water and tear it, then stew it with seasonal vegetables. There are a lot of feature by area. For example, there are "Ikinari Dago Soup" which is used sweet potato and "Sen Dago Soup" which is used potato.
Takamori Dengaku is traditional dish of Takamori town which locate southeast of Aso. It skewer and roast by roast Tsurunoko potato which is specialty, homemade bean curd, konjak and brook trout that is to say yamame. Then we eat it piping hot. Also special miso is delicious. And if we sit aroud the fireplace at restaurant of block, we can soak Japanese atmosphere.
Banpeiyu is a kind of orange and one type of shaddock. "Ban" means late maturity, "pei" means pulp is whitish and "yu" originates round citrus in Chinese. It is feature that fruit is big and skin is thick especially. Now Banpeiyu is specialty in Yatsushiro town of Kumamoto. Banpeiyu is called "King of citrus" because it is very big. Banpeiyu is good smell and sweet-and-sour. It is keep for long, skin is tender and place it room for ornamental for about a month until in season.
There are many delicious foods in Kumamoto.
